Wilf's Cabin offers direct access
to the New Forest
Wilf’s Cabin is unique; situated 1.5 miles from the road in the grounds of Burley Rails Cottage, which is one of the only freehold properties in a New Forest inclosure and offers the ultimate location for horse riders and most other country pursuits.
The New Forest covers some 144 square miles of varying terrain and habitats and is the home of many rare and endangered birds, plants and insects as well as five of our six species of deer. Built in 1811 as a woodmans' cottage Burley Rails is on the site of the Woolfield where the old sheep drovers used to sleep-over with their flocks on their way to Lymington, Wilf’s Cabin offers direct access to the whole Forest, whether it is deciduous or coniferous woodland or the open heath, without any roadwork.
Burley Village is about three miles away and contains three pubs, a village store and post office, together with a golf course and excellent tea rooms and restaurants.
The New Forest Show Ground, along with Broadlands and Somerley estates are all within 20 minutes drive and the beautiful coastlines and beaches of Hampshire and Dorset are nearby.
